Frequently Asked Questions
Are you willing to travel?
Currently I can travel to areas considered “Metro-accessible”, via bus or train. This will expand as time goes on, but for now there is that limitation. If you feel there is a compromise that can be reached, however, please let me know. I will see what I can accommodate for you. Arrangements can always be made.
What kinds of photography clients are you accepting currently?
Engagement portraits, as well as any other kind of portraiture. Small events, under 40 people. Scenic projects. I am flexible to your needs. As time goes on, I will open up to larger events, as well.
Why are your prices so low?
As I have stated, I believe that beautiful photography should be affordable. In addition, I am not here to make money, as bizarre as it sounds. I am here doing something that I love, and providing a service. In addition, my clients will be “paying” me by allowing me to expand my professional portfolio.
What equipment do you use?
I currently use a Kodak 8.2 megapixel point and shoot digital camera. (For specific specifications, feel free to ask!) I will also be adding a “heftier” Nikon to my collection, in the next couple of months, as well. Do not let my current camera fool you! It’s about the person using the camera, as evidenced by the sample photos taken with this camera on this site.
Okay, be honest. What are your favorite types of photos, people, and photography conditions?
I cannot tell a lie. I love candid portraiture, or natural poses. I love natural light. I love surroundings with interesting architecture and texture. I love bright beautiful colors. As for people, each person is unique. I love how the style of the photograph is dictated by the individual or individuals in the photo. I love how because of this, my photos are unique themselves.
Where will clients be able to have their photo sessions?
Wherever I can get to! (See first question, regarding travel.) The site location is up to the client, as the photoshoot is about you, and should be representative of you. If you’d like any recommendations, however, feel free to ask.
If I contact you, is it going to be awhile before I hear back?
Most definitely not. You will hear from me the same day.
What do I get with my service fee?
An over the phone consultation for portrait sessions, plus unlimited email communication. Proofs of photos electronically delivered within four (4) business days of the photoshoot. All photos on CD, processed and edited as a final product within ten (10) business days, for use as you see fit. See PRICING page.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, check, money order, and PayPal.
Can we meet in person, as well? I’d like to get to know my photographer?
For events, of course. Especially weddings. I think that is an integral part of having a successful photographer/client relationship. You need to know your client. If you’re also interested in meeting in person prior to your portraits session, please see fee schedule, or email for rates.
My questions aren’t answered here. What can I do?
Email me! Choosing a photographer is a very personal decision, and I understand that many people have questions that are unique. My email address is elizabethsaysphotography@gmail.com.
